Every clinical decision made at KG Speciality Centre, Ganapathy is made in the shadow of a remarkable legacy. KG Hospital, Coimbatore was founded in 1974 by Padma Shri Dr G. Bakthavathsalam — a surgeon, educator, and institution-builder who grew a 10-bed clinic into one of Tamil Nadu’s most respected multi-specialty hospitals.
KG Hospital is a non-profit trust hospital — its founding principle was, and remains, making quality healthcare accessible and affordable. Over five decades it has grown to serve more than 85 lakh patients, trained over 300 doctors, and built four colleges in nursing, physiotherapy, allied health sciences, and nursing education.
